Selectable Ride Indicator Inoperative

Selectable Ride Indicator Inoperative

1 Did you review the system circuit description and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Selectable Ride 
2 Verify the fault is present.
Does the system operate normally?
Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Remove the selectable ride switch from the instrument panel. Refer to Electronic Suspension Ride Control Switch Replacement .
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Ensure the selectable ride switch is in the ON or FIRM position.
  4. Connect a test lamp and back probe between the selectable ride switch control circuit and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 5  Go to Step 4 
4 Connect a test lamp and back probe, between the ignition 1 voltage circuit and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 8  Go to Step 6

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the selectable ride switch.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the selectable ride switch indicator ground circuit and a battery positive voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 7 
6 Repair the open in the ignition 1 voltage circuit between the selectable ride switch and Body Wiring Harness Junction Block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 9  -
7 Repair the open selectable ride switch indicator ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 9  -
8 Replace the selectable ride switch. Refer to Electronic Suspension Ride Control Switch Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 9  -
9 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
