Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, 2002 Oldsmobile Alero, and 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

EVAP system runs test when engine is first started and meets code enable criteria. An intermittent condition could be caused by a damaged EVAP vent housing, a temporary blockage at EVAP vent valve inlet or a pinched vent hose. A blockage in vent system will also cause a poor fuel fill problem.
