Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. If the vehicle is a 1500 series, remove the transfer case shield bolts, if equipped.
  3. Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped.

  5. If the vehicle is a 2500 series, remove the transfer case shield screws, if equipped.

  6. Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped.
