Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower valve rocker arm cover gasket.
  2. Install the lower valve rocker arm cover.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the lower valve rocker arm cover bolts. Start with bolts 1 and 2, they are used to position the cover.

    Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the injector harnesses.
  5. Install the injector harness bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Tighten the encapsulated injector wire terminal nuts on each injector.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

  7. Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
  8. Install the upper left valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Upper Left .
