Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil pump bolt.
  3. Remove and separate the oil pump, retainer, and driveshaft.

  5. Discard the driveshaft retainer.
  6. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector nuts.
  7. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector.

  9. Clean and inspect the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Cleaning and Inspection .
