Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection

- Remove the oil pan gasket (404) from the groove in the oil pan (400).
- Clean the oil pan in solvent.
- Dry with compressed air.
- Inspect the oil pan for the following conditions:
- The drain plug hole for damaged threads
- Gouges or damage to the oil pan sealing surfaces
- Cracks or damage to the exterior of the oil pan
- Damage to the oil level indicator tube area
- Damage to the oil pan gasket
