Installation Procedure

  1. Install the charged air cooler.
    1. Angle in the left side.
    2. Slide to the left.
    3. Move in the right side.
    4. Position bottom insulators in the radiator support.
      NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the charged air cooler bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (EXC 8.1L) or Radiator Replacement (8.1L) in Engine Cooling.
  5. Install the charged air cooler hoses/pipes. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Left)  or Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Right) .
