Piston and Connecting Rod Disassemble

Tools Required
J 43654 Piston Pin Retainer Clip Remover/Installer
- Mark orientation of the piston to the connecting rod.
- Remove the piston rings using a piston ring expander.
- Remove the connecting rod bearing inserts.
- Use J 43654 to remove the piston pin retainers.
- Remove the piston pin. The pin is a full-floating style and should slide from the piston.
- Remove the piston from the connecting rod.
