Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines)  or Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Remove the crankshaft oil seal (1) from the front cover.
