Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the air conditioning compressor-(4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L18) or Compressor Replacement (LB7) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and LQ4) in HVAC Systems with A/C-Manual.
  4. Remove the nuts and the washers from the bracket.

  5. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.
