Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bracket to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the washers and the nuts to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket to frame nuts to 90 N.m (67 lb ft).

  4. Fig 1: Bracket, Nuts & Washers (15 HD, 25, 35 Series)

  5. Install the air conditioning compressor -4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L18) orCompressor Replacement (LB7) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and LQ4) in HVAC Systems with A/C-Manual.
  6. Install the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
