Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the differential carrier shield. Refer to Shield Replacement in Front Drive Axle.
  3. Remove the bolts retaining the crossmember to the frame.

  5. Remove the crossmember from the vehicle.
