Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Replacement .
    CAUTION: Valve springs can be tightly compressed. Use care when removing retainers and plugs. Personal injury could result.
  2. Remove the valve bore plug retainer ring (1).

  4. Remove the following parts:
    • The valve bore plug
    • The TCC valve
    • The TCC valve spring
