Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 GMC Sierra, 2004 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, 2004 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado, and 2003 GMC Sierra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the intermediate cable to the vehicle.
Connect the intermediate cable to the front cable.

For 25/35 series vehicles, connect the intermediate cable to the rear park brake cable.
For 15 series vehicles, install the rear park brake cables to the equalizer.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

For 15 series vehicles, install the equalizer and the nut to the threaded end of the intermediate cable.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

For 25/35 series vehicles, enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Enabling the Park Brake Cable Automatic Adjuster .
Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
Adjust the park brake system. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
