Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L (LLY).
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (without HP2) .
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet tube.

  5. Open the clip and remove the wiring harness branch from the bracket.
  6. Remove the bolt and wiring harness bracket at the thermostat housing.

  8. Remove the main engine electrical harness connector bolts.

  10. Disconnect the barometric sensor electrical connector.

  12. Disconnect the turbocharger vane position sensor electrical connector.

  14. Remove the main electrical harness bracket bolts.
  15. Remove the main electrical harness bracket.

  17. Disconnect the turbocharger coolant inlet hose from the turbocharger bypass valve.

  19. Remove the water outlet bolts.

  21. Remove the water outlet.

  23. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
