Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (with HP2) .
- Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the following locations:
- Throttle body
- Mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
- Remove the radiator inlet hose clip from the outlet duct.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
- Reposition the outlet hose clamp from the water pump.
- Remove the outlet hose from the water pump.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the bolts from the engine shield.
- Remove the engine shield from the vehicle.
- Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) from the starter/generator stator cooler inlet pipe (3).
- Remove the radiator outlet hose (1) from the starter/generator stator cooler inlet pipe (3).
- Reposition the outlet hose clamp from the radiator.
- Remove the outlet hose from the radiator.
