Installation Procedure

  1. Install the upper fan shroud.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the fan shroud bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the fan shroud retainers.

  7. Install the inlet radiator hose retainer to the fan shroud.
  8. Install the throttle body heater hose retainer to the fan shroud.
  9. Install the HCM. Refer to Hybrid Control Module (HCM) Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) in Engine Electrical.
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.

  12. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  13. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the MAF sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
