Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
  1. Raise and support the front of the hood (1).
  2. Remove the bolts (7) holding the hood link assembly to the hood hinge.
  3. Remove the bolts (5) holding the hood link assembly to the fender.

  5. Remove the hood link assembly from the vehicle.
