Water entering air intake system that reaches MAF sensor could cause this DTC to set. Water rapidly cools hot sensing elements in sensor causing a false indication of excessive airflow. Inspect AIR system and air induction system for evidence of water intrusion.
A poor connection in ignition 1 voltage circuit of MAF sensor can cause DTC to set.
If the problem is intermittent, See INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
