Removal (2.2L)

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner outlet resonator mounting screw. Disconnect air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at throttle body. Remove air cleaner outlet duct from air cleaner outlet resonator. Disconnect power brake booster vacuum hose at throttle body.
  2. Disconnect crankcase vent hose clamp and crankcase vent hose from top of engine. Remove air cleaner outlet resonator. Disconnect IAC valve and TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body. Disconnect vacuum hose from throttle body.
  3. Disconnect accelerator and cruise control cables from throttle body. Remove accelerator and cruise control cable bracket. Remove throttle body retaining bolts. Remove throttle body from intake manifold. Remove flange gasket and discard.
