Installation Procedure

  1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 or equivalent to the threads of the fitting and/or the engine oil pressure sensor.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the engine oil pressure sensor fitting, if removed.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine oil pressure sensor fitting to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine oil pressure sensor.

    Tighten 

    Using the J 41712, tighten the engine oil pressure sensor to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  4. Connect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the distributor. Refer to DISTRIBUTOR .
  6. Check and adjust engine oil level.
