Installation Procedure

  1. Install the dampener frame mount bracket to the frame (if removed).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts and the nuts.

    Tighten 

    • Tighten the bolts to 46 N.m (34 lb ft).
    • Tighten the nuts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
  3. Install the axle vibration dampener.
  4. Install the rear dampener bolt and nut to the axle mount bracket.

    Tighten 

    • Tighten the bolt to 86 N.m (63 lb ft).
    • Tighten the nut to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).

  5. Install the front dampener nut to the frame mount bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
