Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Utility)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Extended Cab P/U Only) .
  3. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Door .
  5. Disconnect the following electrical connectors as necessary:
    • The power mirror connector (1)
    • The power accessory switch connectors (2)
    • The power door lock actuator connector (3)
    • The power window motor connector (4)
    • The cross-body wiring harness connectors (5)
    • The speaker connector (6)
  6. Remove the wiring retainers.
  7. Remove the door wiring harness from the vehicle.
