Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Utility) or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Extended Cab P/U Only) .
- Disconnect the electrical connectors as needed.
- Remove the rubber conduit from the door and the body hinge pillar.
- Apply cloth-backed tape to the door and the body hinge pillar in order to protect the door and the body hinge pillar from scratches.
- Remove the lower hinge pin retainer.

- Remove the lower hinge pin by completing the following steps:
- 6.1. Use a pair of locking pliers in order to grasp the pin.
- 6.2. Use a soft-faced hammer in order to drive out the pin.
- 6.3. Install a bolt through the lower hinges in order to temporarily hold the door in place during the removal of the upper hinge.
- Remove the upper hinge pin retainer.
- Remove the upper hinge pin.
- Remove the bolt from the lower pin hole.
- Remove the door from the vehicle.
