Removal Procedure

  1. Close the window.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Utility)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Extended Cab P/U Only) .
  3. Peel back the corner of the water deflector in order to expose the door handle screw access hole.
  4. Remove the outside door handle screw access hole plug.
  5. Remove the outside door handle rod from the handle.
  6. Remove the screws that retain the outside door handle to the door panel.
  7. Remove the outside door handle from the door.
