Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear seat back in the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the 2 bolts securing the rear seat back to the floor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear seat back mounting bolts to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).

  3. Install the 2 washers and nuts securing the rear seat back to the floor studs.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear seat back nuts to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear seat bottom to vehicle. Insure seat bottom frame is engaged with tabs in seat back mounting bracket.
  5. Install the 2 bolts retaining the rear seat bottom to the floor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear seat bottom bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the seat bottom cushion ear retainers into the seat back mounting bracket.
