Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
  2. Install the seat bottom cover over the pad.
  3. Engage the hook and loop strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).

  4. Install the seat belt buckle through the slot in the seat.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  5. Install the seat belt holder bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  6. Install the seat back to seat bottom bolts.
  7. Install the power seat control switch, if equipped. Refer to SEAT SWITCH REPLACEMENT - POWER .
  8. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to SEAT BACK RECLINER HANDLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
  9. Install the power lumbar switch, if equipped. Refer to LUMBAR SWITCH REPLACEMENT .
  10. Install the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to LUMBAR SUPPORT KNOB REPLACEMENT .
  11. Connect the electrical connections, as needed.
  12. Install the seat back recliner assembly, if equipped. Refer to SEAT BACK RECLINER REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
  13. Install the cupholder and bracket, if equipped. Refer to CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT .
  14. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.

  15. Install the trim plate.
  16. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET .
