Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back to the seat adjuster assembly.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the bolts securing the seat back to the seat adjuster assembly.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the seat back bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the electrical connector for the seat back recliner motor, if equipped.

  4. Install the seat cushion trim cover and pad. Refer to SEAT CUSHION TRIM COVER & PAD REPLACEMENT (BENCH)  or SEAT CUSHION TRIM COVER & PAD REPLACEMENT (BUCKET) .
  5. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER & PAD REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
  6. Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET .
