Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - JUMP or SEAT REPLACEMENT - BENCH in SEATS article.
  2. Remove the jack cover from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the jack from the vehicle.
  4. Remove the door sill trim plates. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT .
  5. Remove the floor console or cup holder (if equipped). Refer to the appropriate procedure:
  6. Remove the body side trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
  7. Remove the C-pillar trim panel (extended cab with rear side door only). Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP W/ REAR SIDE DOOR)  or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (4-DOOR UTILITY) .
  8. Remove the body hinge trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT HINGE PILLAR  and TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT HINGE PILLAR .
  9. Remove the carpet or mat from the vehicle.
