Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sunroof console, if equipped. Refer to DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER REPLACEMENT (WITHOUT SUNROOF) or DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER REPLACEMENT (WITH SUNROOF) in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
  2. Remove the dome lamp. Refer to DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT (PICKUP) or DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT (UTILITY) in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  3. Remove the sunroof opening trim, if equipped, by grasping it at the edge and pulling it away from the headliner.
  4. Remove the coat hooks. Refer to COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (EXTENDED/CREW CAB PICKUP) , COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (STANDARD CAB PICKUP)  or COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (UTILITY) .

  5. Remove the assist handles. Refer to ASSIST HANDLE REPLACEMENT .
  6. Remove the sunshades and the retainers. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT .
  7. Remove the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILLAR .
  8. Remove the body lock pillar trim panels (4-door models only). Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - SIDE DOOR LOCK PILLAR .
  9. Remove the upper seat belt anchor bolts (2-door models only).

  10. Remove the inside air temperature sensor grille.
  11. Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
  12. Remove the rear upper garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR UPPER .
  13. Remove the headliner from the vehicle.
