Installation Procedure

  1. Install the liftgate latch to the liftgate.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the screws that retain the liftgate latch to the liftgate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connectors, as needed.
  4. Install the bellcrank. Refer to BELLCRANK REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
