Installation Procedure

  1. Install the endgate latch to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the bolts that retain the endgate latch to the endgate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

  3. Install the endgate latch rod to the endgate latch.
  4. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - END GATE .
