Installation Procedure

Install the pickup box endgate hinges to the pickup box.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
Install the bolts that retain the pickup box endgate hinges to the pickup box.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the pickup box endgate hinges to the endgate.
Install the bolts that retain the pickup box endgate hinges to the endgate.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the endgate. Refer to END GATE REPLACEMENT (PICKUP) or END GATE REPLACEMENT (UTILITY) .
