Installation Procedure

Install the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
Install the bolts that retain the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

Install the liftgate handle rod to the liftgate handle.

Engage the retainer.
Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
