Installation Procedure

  1. Install the pickup box endgate latch handle to the endgate.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the bolts that retain the pickup box endgate latch handle to the endgate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the upper latch rod to the handle.
  4. Install the upper latch rod to the retaining clip.
  5. Install the lower latch rod to the handle.
  6. Install the lower latch rod to the retaining clip.
  7. Perform the following steps in order to install the pickup box endgate latch:

    1. 7.1

      Position the bezel.

    2. 7.2

      Snap the bezel into place.
