Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bellcrank to the liftgate.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the bolts that retain the bellcrank to the liftgate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  3. Engage the handle and the latch rods to the bellcrank.
  4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
