Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY REPLACEMENT in ENGINE ELECTRICAL article.
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT in BATTERY article.
  3. Remove the PCM from the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
  4. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT in ENGINE COOLING article.
  5. Remove the bolts that retain the wheel house to the radiator support.

  6. Remove the bolts that retain the wheel house to the fender.

  7. Remove the bolt that retains the wheel house panel to the cowl.

  8. Remove the wheel house panel from the fender.
  9. Remove the splash shield from the wheel house panel. Refer to WHEELHOUSE EXTENSION REPLACEMENT .
