Adjustment Procedure

  1. Remove the hood latch mounting bracket.
  2. Loosen the nuts that retain the hood latch support to the hood latch mounting bracket.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  3. Move the hood latch from side to side until the striker enters the center of the latch assembly.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the primary hood latch support bracket mounting bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
