Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hose clips into the body.
  2. Apply lubricant to both of the hose connections.
  3. Install the hose to the liftgate harness.

  4. Install the hose to the body harness.
  5. Install the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) in INTERIOR TRIM article.
  6. Install the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - END GATE in INTERIOR TRIM article.
  7. Install the upper rear garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR UPPER in INTERIOR TRIM article.
