Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the following components from the hood:
    • The screw
    • The star washer
    • The ground wire

  4. Remove the screws that retain the underhood lamp to the hood.
  5. Remove the underhood lamp assembly from the vehicle.
