Installation Procedure

  1. Install the underhood lamp assembly to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the screws that retain the underhood lamp to the hood.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  3. Install the following components to the hood:
    • The ground wire
    • The washer
    • The screw

      Tighten 

      Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Connect the battery negative cable.
