Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the IPC. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) REPLACEMENT in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
  3. Unclip the IPC rear cover plate by prying gently on the tabs with a screwdriver.

  4. Remove the rear cover plate from the IPC.

  5. Remove the bulb and base assembly by turning the bulb 1/2 turn counterclockwise and pulling outward.
