Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lamp to the socket.
  2. Install the courtesy lamp socket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  3. Install the courtesy lamp socket screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the socket retaining screw to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).

  4. Install the insulator panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT or CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
