Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the ash tray housing. Refer to ASHTRAY REPLACEMENT in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
  3. Open the ash tray and remove the liner.
  4. Remove the bulb and socket assembly from the ash tray housing.
  5. Remove the bulb from the socket.
