Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear console trim panel retaining screw.

  3. Remove the rear console trim panel from the console by carefully prying outward with a flat-bladed tool.
  4. Remove the console wiring harness connector from the rear seat audio control panel.
  5. Remove the rear seat audio control panel from the rear console trim panel by compressing the retaining tabs and carefully pushing outward.
