Removal Procedure
CAUTION:
Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION
in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Remove the floor console from the vehicle. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR - FULL LENGTH , CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR (NON-FULL LENGTH or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR - FULL LENGTH (MANUAL TRANS) in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
- Remove remote CD changer, if equipped. Refer to REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the console wiring harness from the amplifier.
- Remove the amplifier mounting nuts.
- Remove the amplifier from the mounting bracket.
