Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

  1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle  .
  3. Move the shift lever seal (2) up the shift lever (4).
  4. Remove the shift lever screw (3).
  5. Remove the shift lever assembly (4).
  6. Remove the shift lever seal (2) from the shift lever assembly (4).
