Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the oil filler tube and bolt.

  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.

  4. Remove the PCV valve hose assembly from the intake manifold and the valve rocker arm cover.
  5. Remove the rear spark plug wire retainer from the support.
  6. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to VALVE ROCKER ARM COVER REMOVAL - LEFT  .
  7. Clean all sealing surfaces and the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to VALVE ROCKER ARM COVER CLEANING AND INSPECTION  .
