Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the valve rocker arm cover and bolts. Refer to VALVE ROCKER ARM COVER INSTALLATION - LEFT  .
  2. Install the PCV valve hose assembly to the intake manifold and in the valve rocker arm cover.

  3. Install the rear spark plug wire retainer to the support.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the oil filler tube and bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector.

  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
