Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the garnish molding to the pillar:
    1. 1.1. Align the locator pin with the pillar.
    2. 1.2. Press the locator pin firmly into place, seating all fasteners.
  2. Install the driver's seat belt upper mounting bolt. Refer to SEAT BELT SYSTEM in Seat Belts.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the garnish molding retaining screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the garnish molding retaining screw to 2N.m (18lb in).
